Today I found the latest check for mlflow on CRAN says:

Version: 1.22.0
Check: dependencies in R code
Result: NOTE
    Namespace in Imports field not imported from: ‘xml2’
     All declared Imports should be used.

This PR fixes this issue.

Added a check to detect unused imports and confirmed it passed.
