Unable to expand PRs whose branch contains a # character #1059

Issue Type: Bug
To reproduce
- Checkout a branch with a name like
some-issue-fix#1234 - Make and commit some changes
- Create a PR
- Try to expand the PR in the "Created by me" section of the UI
- Watch that nothing happens.
This is an issue for people who use this branch format to track which issue a particular branch is addressing.
