Currently the sync icon will sync with pull and merge, which results in undesirable (in my case) merge commits.

It would be helpful if there was a "Sync with rebase" option for clicking this icon. I see a PR was performed to add Sync (Rebase) command (#31416, though I still don't even see this command in the git menu for 1.23.1 today?), but this does not apply to clicking the actual icon.

A setting to change its default value would be great.
