Repro:

  • Windows 11/PowerShell 7
  • Disable terminal suggest (to reduce profile noise)
  • (Start a perf profile)
  • Type in the terminal quickly, it lags sometimes

Not sure on exact repro steps but it happened just now. It was in the shouldHideText path
