Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open vscode in web
2. Click on keyboard layout status bar and change it once (e.g. us -> de)
3. Click on keyboard layout status bar and change it again (e.g. de -> us)
4. 🐛 status bar entry doesn't update and keyboard shortcuts are broken
