VSCode's FileDialog overwrites the file managers (Nautilus) "Show hidden files" setting #107246

@Leleat

Description

@Leleat
  • VSCode Version: 1.49.1 (and insider version as well)
  • OS Version: Fedora 32

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Enable "Show hidden files" in nautilus.
  2. Open VSCode's file dialog (for example via Ctrl+O). The hidden files in nautilus will be hidden again.

(Not sure if this can be considered a bug report or a feature request but) VSCode should respect nautilus' setting or at least not overwrite it.
