Thanks! I've updated your PR description to say "Fixes #2177", because GitHub's close/fix/resolve syntax is very specific - it will add an issue to the "Linked issues" in the sidebar only when one of the magic words like "Fixes" is immediately followed by an issue number. It's now linked up:

Status update: We merge PRs simultaneously on GitHub and in our MSVC-internal repo. This is a semi-manual process, so we batch up PRs to save effort. Your PR will be part of the next batch, likely next week (slightly delayed due to the US holiday weekend). |
