If the bot gets something wrong or is focusing on the wrong things, there is no way for the original author to edit the result to fit their post.

I think that it should just respond as a DM instead, and this way it encourages the author to apply the alt text directly to the image in their post, and make any adjustments/fixes as they're adding it
