Custom headers for authentication?
Add headers in the service configuration. Format: Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN
Response timeout settings? Currently fixed at 30 seconds. Configurable timeouts planned for future release.
Monitoring intervals?
- Free: 15 minutes
- Pro: 30 seconds minimum
Supported HTTP methods GET, POST, PUT, DELETE with full header customization.
Data storage location
~/Library/Application Support/Lumenator/ - all data stored locally.
Network requirements Outbound HTTPS/HTTP to your monitored endpoints. No incoming connections required.
Lighthouse indicator rendering issues
- Verify Settings → Appearance → Show Indicator is enabled
- macOS Sonoma: Known flickering when switching Mission Control spaces
False positive alerts Some services implement rate limiting or bot detection. Try:
- Adding appropriate User-Agent header
- Using a specific health check endpoint if available
Notification permissions System Settings → Notifications → Lumenator must be allowed.
