Minor nitpick - I think now that we have an assets folder, the subdirectories could be renamed from mcassets to mc and gitassets to git (or equivalent) - the assets suffix seems a bit redundant

As of right now, the problem we face is that the root directory has quite a lot of files, leading to users having to scroll down quite a bit to view the README with valuable information on the Github page. This PR cleans up the folder structure a bit.
