The plug-in show integrate with the DataStore interface, maintaining independence from the index strategy.
The solution should be based on the work in Issue # 238.
The Data Store API is undergoing additional changes to simplify the query interface, as part of the 238 effort.
The secondary index effort may also have some impacts on the interface/implementation.
The impact should be finalized by the end of October 2015.
