CLI commands fail on EMR

**To Reproduce:**
Follow the quickstart guide, choosing the EMR option.

**Expected Result:**
Simple commands like `geowave` or `geowave --version` should work.

**Actual Result:**
When sending such commands, this is the response:
```
Unrecognized option: -9
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
```
