Our mission is to be the operating layer for every team — so agents and people can observe, reason, and act across your entire tool stack through a single system.
Lightfast is an open-source operating infrastructure between your agents and apps. We ingest every event across your tools, build a living graph of decisions, and let agents and people search, reason, and act — without knowing which tools exist or how they work.
- Lightfast — connect your tools, observe events, and search decisions across your team. Join the early access to get started.
- Documentation — learn about Lightfast's architecture, integrations, and APIs.
- API Reference — explore the REST API, TypeScript SDK, and MCP server.
- Need help? We're available on GitHub and Discord — feel free to reach out and join our community!
Observe → Remember → Reason → Act — a pipeline where events flow in from your tools, get stored as a temporal graph with semantic embeddings, are reasoned over by processes and invariants, and result in actions resolved back to your tools.
- Observe: Ingest every event across your tools — code changes, deployments, incidents, decisions, messages — automatically and continuously.
- Remember: Build a living graph of what happened, who was involved, how things relate, and why decisions were made. Searchable by meaning, always citing sources.
- Reason: Detect patterns, predict outcomes, compute truth across conflicting sources, and enforce invariants your team defines.
- Act: Resolve intent to action across any connected tool. Agents express what they want — the system figures out where and how.
Lightfast is open source and built in public. We believe operating infrastructure should be transparent, auditable, and community-driven. A few of our projects:
- lightfast — the core platform: console, relay, gateway, backfill services, and integrations.
- homebrew-tap — install Lightfast CLI tools via Homebrew.
Our community is for engineers and teams building with agents. Whether you're connecting your first tool or orchestrating complex multi-agent workflows, you'll find resources, patterns, and people who can help.
Love our mission? If you contribute to any of our projects, we'd love to collaborate and refine your pull requests together. If you enjoy the experience and want to do this full-time, we're always looking for great people.
