Based on PR/issues activity it seems so.

In that case it will be nice to update readme and state it explicitly.

Because now there is an illusion that at least someone from time to time checks bug report, but it's not the fact.
In the discussions and chat typical answer: I don't know all details/context/didn't write anything using java for years.
That's why "Maintained by" block contains incorrect and outdated information.

Also some bugs are still here for years.
