Steps to reproduce:

1. remove RECORDS.TBL file
2. run the game
3. click "[R]ecords"

The screen will scroll and the main menu will be drawn. But actually this is an invisible records screen:

1. no one menu button works until the player clicks Esc key or X button to close the invisible records screen
2. 'X' button appears

The original game has the same problem.
