JSTAR Tab replaces your browser's new tab page with something you actually enjoy opening. Your name, your shortcuts, your fonts, your colors — set up in a few clicks during onboarding and tweakable any time from the settings page. It works offline, your data stays local, and there's a full backup/restore system for when you switch devices or reinstall.

{name},{time},{date}, and more. - 🔗 Shortcuts — A grid of your favorite sites with auto-fetched favicons. Right-click to edit or delete.
- 🔍 Search — Supports Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Perplexity AI and SearXNG. Press
/to focus instantly. - 🎨 Appearance — Light/dark themes, custom themes, multiple fonts, adjustable sizes, and custom backgrounds.
- 🎞️ Motion — Scale animations from full to none for accessibility or personal preference.
- 🔒 Privacy — Anonymous Mode masks your name and blurs shortcuts. Password-protect individual shortcuts.
- ⌘ Shortcuts: Add, edit, and remove shortcuts to your favorite websites with multiple grid layouts.
- ⌨️ Keyboard Shortcuts — Configurable keybinds for settings, anonymous mode, theme switching, and quick-jump URLs.
- 💾 Backup & Restore — Export and import exactly what you want, per data category.
🌐 Chromium browsers
Download the latest .zip from Releases, extract it, then go to chrome://extensions, enable Developer Mode, and click Load unpacked.

Install from Mozilla Add-ons.
Tip
Before updating, export your data from Settings → Data Management so you can import it back during the new version's onboarding.
