There is an issue in the official repo: pre-commit/pre-commit#450 But it's closed.

This could be useful for some common configurations like:

• end-of-file-fixer
• trailing-whitespace
• check-yaml

for the files in git diff --name-only.

Could this be a different feature for this repo?
