Hi there. I know autoupdate is not implemented now, but I just found the discussion:

• pre-commit autoupdate wrongly picks pre-releases like 1.2.3a0 pre-commit/pre-commit#995

It seems pre-commit won't fix this.

FYI, I created the nightly release for lychee but it seems pre-commit update will update to the nightly pre-release tag which is not what users want.

• Don't tag nightly pre-releases lycheeverse/lychee#1601

So I guess this could be yet-another-feature that is only possible for preflight. 😆
