This ticket is to help keep the many AWStats tips+tricks from getting lost, so concientious IIAB implementers can benefit from the ongoing progress here to help their teachers, schools & clinics — with IIAB 6.7+ hopefully helping them to develop community-owed / community-driven analytics especially (very basic insights for now!)

In no particular order, here are some rough ideas we're trying to take seriously in recent weeks, thanks to @tim-moody especially:

• Aggregating AWStats for WMF and others
• Parsing stats files in php or python OR (either way, but Tim prefers Python to PHP)
• Rename ‘schoolserver’ in file name to a unique name
• ? current status on /etc/iiab/uuid and /etc/iiab/openvpn_handle
• Copy files back to central location
• Front-End questions: SQLite - Excel interface?

• “Start with the outputs!” 2 Key Needs:
  • session length
  • pages viewed
• Sam Z. has status from 10 servers
• Can Lane Rasberry and his Wikipedia + medical + data science allies contribute ?
• Privacy questions aren't yet prominent given very anonymous, very offline, very disparate usage patterns at this time (without user accounts generally) but this could certainly change in future. Lane R. offers to help us all write this up in future, when privacy questions become more relevant, as different communities will want to know what aggregating practices are/aren't possible using their personal/offline data.
