These are all mandatory in Python 3: https://docs.python.org/3/library/__future__.html
UTF-8 is the default encoding in Python 3: https://peps.python.org/pep-0263/
In Python 3, u'' is not needed any more, '' is sufficient.
Either double the backslash as in '\\' or add an 'r' prefix as in r'\'.
