Lauch Past!

Welcome to Lauch Past! – an exciting web application designed to ignite your passion for space exploration and astronomy! Our platform offers a range of features to engage users with rocket launches, space events, and the best star-gazing spots.

🚀 Key Features

Explore Rocket Launches

  • View Past and Upcoming Launches: Access detailed information about past and upcoming rocket launches, including mission objectives, dates, astronauts involved, flight trajectories, and more.
  • Watch Videos and Live Streams: Enjoy videos and live streams of past rocket launches, and stay updated on upcoming launches.
  • Discover Ticket Availability: Find information on ticket availability for nearby launches and other space-related events.
  • Interactive Flight Path: Click on each launch to view an animated flight path and a countdown to the launch date.

Space Event Notifications

  • Stay Updated: Receive notifications about major space events such as eclipses, meteor showers, and other significant celestial phenomena.

Star Gazing Planner

  • Find the Best Spots: Discover the best star-gazing locations near you based on your current location.
  • View Locations on Google Maps: Easily navigate to star-gazing spots with direct links to Google Maps.
  • Plan Your Stargazing: Get suggestions on the optimal times and places for stargazing.

🔧 Installation

Backend

  1. Navigate to the backend directory:
    cd /backend
  2. Install dependencies
    pnpm i
  3. Run the backend server:
    pnpm run

💻 Running the Project

  1. Start the Backend: Ensure that your backend server is running on port 300.
  2. Serve the Frontend: Open the /frontend/index.html file in your browser to access the application.
