Tahoe-LAFS uses a convergence secret to enable deduplication of uploads. Currently, however, Gridsync's recovery system does not preserve this secret: a configuration that is restored by loading/importing a Recovery Key, will be accompanied by the creation of a new convergence secret.

In order to make uploads more performant in post-recovery situations, Gridsync should preserve and restore the Tahoe-LAFS convergent secret alongside the other capabities/secrets that it currently preserves/restores.
