Not comfortable enough with tooling API to review those changes, but everything else LGTM
`maven` plugins was removed in 7 but the class was kept for plugins using `withPlugins(MavenPlugin)` * Spring Boot plugin in snippets and samples updated * Shadow plugin supported versions updated
