All data at rest in Cloud Bigtable is typically encrypted using Google's default encryption. With customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK), customers' data at rest is protected using an encryption key that the customers themselves can control and manage through Cloud Key Management Service (Cloud KMS). This feature will provide support for CMEK in the JAVA client.
