The fact that google-gax has a 0.x version scares me because it is used as a dependency of many modules I rely on.

Furthermore, is seem that backward compatibility is often broken (e.g. it was between 0.17 and 0.16). I know that's expected from an 0.x version, but still, when will this module be a grown up?
