What would you like to be added?
I'd love to have gemini-cli integrated with IntelliJ the same way it is integrated in VS Code.
Why is this needed?
IntelliJ is the (I think) the most popular java IDE, and JetBrains also has IDEs for most languages. Being a java developer I work in IntelliJ all the time, even when editing Markdown documents or document only project because it is what I'm used to. It's painful for me not being able to do in IntelliJ the same tings I can with claude code, so I end up using claude. However, I would prefer using gemini for work related coding since I have a paid google workspace account.
Additional context
This is mentioned in #1585, but I couldn't find a dedicated issue.
