Walkthrough

Refactored getTLSConfig in helpers.go to replace a direct type assertion with a reflection-based generic assertion (reflect.TypeAssert[*tls.Config]) when extracting a *tls.Config from a net.Listener. Panic message and function behavior remain unchanged.

Changes

Cohort / File(s) Summary of Changes
TLS config extraction refactor
helpers.go
Replaced elem.Interface().(*tls.Config) with reflect.TypeAssert*tls.Config in getTLSConfig; unchanged panic message and return behavior.

Poem

A whisk of code, a subtle tune,
I nibbled types beneath the moon—
Reflection’s waltz, assertions neat,
No branches changed, a tidy feat.
With twitching ears, I softly cheer:
Config secured, the path is clear! 🐇✨

Summary of Changes

Hello @cuiweixie, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request refactors the codebase to utilize the reflect.TypeAssert function for type assertions, replacing the older elem.Interface().(*Type) pattern. This change aligns with best practices for Go's reflection API, as indicated by the linked Go issue, aiming for a more robust and potentially safer way to perform type assertions.

Highlights

  • Reflection API Update: Replaced direct interface type assertion (elem.Interface().(*tls.Config)) with the more modern and type-safe reflect.TypeAssert[*tls.Config](elem) in helpers.go.

Pull Request Overview

This PR refactors the codebase to use Go's newer reflect.TypeAssert API instead of the traditional type assertion pattern with Interface(). This change follows Go's recommendation from issue #62121 to use the more explicit and safer type assertion API.

Key Changes

  • Replaces elem.Interface().(*tls.Config) pattern with reflect.TypeAssert[*tls.Config](elem)
  • Modernizes reflection-based type assertion code to use the recommended API

Code Review

This pull request correctly refactors a type assertion to use the reflect.TypeAssert function. This is a good improvement as it leverages a more modern and efficient API available in recent Go versions. The change is straightforward and has been implemented correctly. I have reviewed the code and have no further suggestions.
