The Select for Compare and Compare with Selected actions in tree views are broken, preventing users from comparing branches, commits, stashes, or tags.

Impact

Users can compare refs again using the Select for Compare workflow in tree views.

Validation

1. Open a repository in VS Code with GitLens enabled
2. Navigate to any tree view (Commits, Branches, etc.)
3. Right-click on a branch, commit, stash, or tag and select "Select for Compare"
4. Right-click on a different ref and select "Compare with Selected"
5. Confirm the comparison opens correctly in the Search & Compare view
