Overview

This tracking issue covers the implementation of enhanced agentic workflows to bring the repository from Level 3/5 (Productive) to Level 4/5 (Optimized) maturity.

Source: Discussion #328

Background

The Pelis Agent Factory Advisor analyzed our repository and identified significant opportunities to enhance automation maturity. While we have strong security and issue management automation (11 workflows), we have gaps in:

  • CI failure diagnosis and root cause analysis
  • Documentation maintenance and synchronization
  • Test coverage improvement
  • Dependency security monitoring
  • Performance benchmarking

Planned Sub-Issues

This initiative is broken into 5 focused sub-issues:

  1. CI Failure Doctor - Automated investigation of CI/CD failures with root cause analysis
  2. Documentation Maintainer - Daily workflow to keep 16+ documentation files synchronized
  3. Test Coverage Improver - Weekly workflow to add tests for under-tested code paths
  4. Dependency Security Monitor - Proactive vulnerability monitoring and safe updates
  5. Performance Monitoring Foundation - Establish baseline performance benchmarks

Success Metrics

  • CI/CD Efficiency: Reduce failure diagnosis time to <30 minutes (currently manual)
  • Documentation Quality: Keep docs in sync within 7 days of code changes
  • Test Coverage: Increase from 75-80% to >85% overall, >95% for security-critical paths
  • Dependency Security: Patch HIGH/CRITICAL CVEs within 48 hours
  • Workflow Maturity: Achieve 15+ active agentic workflows with integration chains
