Because when using without it for an another language (such as the C language), GTG was weirdly half-translated, like the dates and some columns were translated, some menus weren't, and the plugin dialog would still display in german.

The plugin workaround is already known, see #457, not entirely sure why this is happening. (I would think it uses the symlink last updated which doesn't update when the file it points to updates)
