g1lbertJB

Platform support

  • g1lbertJB supports macOS, Linux, and Windows.
  • On Windows, this makes use of bsdtar. Make sure that you are using Windows 10 1803 or newer.

How to use

  1. Get the latest release.
  2. Plug in your iOS device that you want to jailbreak in normal mode.
  3. Run g1lbertJB:
    • Windows: Double-click gilbertjb.exe
    • macOS: Double-click gilbertjb.command
    • Linux: Open a Terminal window, drag gilbertjb.command to the Terminal window, and press Enter/Return

Notes

  • Ignore the "Error Code 1" and "Error Code 102" errors, this is normal and part of the jailbreaking process.
  • For Linux and macOS users, select the correct architecture to download: x86_64 for most PCs and Intel-based Macs, arm64 for Apple Silicon Macs and ARM-based devices like Raspberry Pi.
