The simplecache::ssh:// writing seems to be broken in the latest version (2026.2.0). I looked a bit into it and the culprit is #1980. I noticed this in the Uproot CI (see e.g. here). I looked through the PR and I didn't see anything obvious, so I can't tell if this is a bug or if we were doing something wrong in Uproot that now is casing an issue.
