After changing any element of the theme and saving the resource file (through X Resource Editor), the check boxes revert to eye icon of previous version.

• The FontForge version and the operating system you're using
  Tested on Ubuntu 16.04

  Not sure about the behavior. I think that checkboxes look more actual but DesignWithFontforge says an eye icon should be there.

• Steps to reproduce the behavior
  Use a fresh installation or simply clear the theme in Files/Preferences/Generic/ResourceFile box). Restart to see the check boxes. To see the boxes changing to eyes, change one of the font and save the theme as a resource file. Restart FF.

• A description of the problem you're trying to solve, including why you think this is a problem
  I am taking screenshots for the Design With FontForge guide (issue #137 and issue #90 and need to use a theme for better visual appearance. So I don't know if I should capture screens with the check boxes or the eyes.

Any manual workaround would be appreciated to keep me going. Thanks.
