Use the caller context / stackframe to preset the context

* [x] Fix all unit tests
* [x] Rebase on the release branch and fix the remaining unit tests
* [x] Fix Xunit runner incompatibilities
* [x] Allow extensions to also participate gracefully in the caller context logic.
