Steps To Reproduce

1. Go to playground in Firefox
2. Add a comment
3. Move the cursor, from the right, to the end of the node, using either arrows or backspace
4. Press backspace
5. Node is removed

The expected behavior

To only remove a single character, like if you backspace from the middle of marknode

Impact of fix

This seems to be a Firefox (tested on 134.0) issue only. I can't replicate it in Chrome
