Have you ever needed to get back to an email quickly? Or have you ever wanted to attach a locally stored email message to a text file? This script lets you do exactly that. With the help of FastScripts, you can assign a keybinding that lets you copy messages' URLs into other apps.
- Copy the URL of any locally stored email and paste it into a text field for quick access later.
- Example:
message://<20140719121756.2823979.340563@sailthru.com>
- Example:
- Copy multiple messages at once.
- Planned: Copy rich text hyperlinks including the subject line.
- Copy (don't symlink)
Copy Message URL.applescriptto~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Mail/Copy Message URL.scpt. Note the different extension. - In FastScripts, assign a keyboard shortcut to
Copy Message URL.scpt, which will appear in the correct location in the folder hierarchy. - Go to Mail.app, select a few messages, and test out your keyboard shortcut.
