I accidentally squashed the release PR for alpha.2 while at the Berlin interop. I should have merged the commits. This is an annoying mistake without a great solution since the release has already been made. This PR essentially re-creates the last release but I will merge the commits instead of squashing.
I made the exact same mistake twice 🤦 forgot to switch the merge type...
