CI started going red today due to rpc-compat failures increasing from 8 to 12 - https://github.com/erigontech/erigon/actions/runs/19950908614/job/57210422970

this is because some new eth_getLogs tests have been added, and some eth_getStorageAt and eth_estimateGas tests have been modified in ethereum/execution-apis#712

goal is to fix these and go back to 8 rpc failures as we did before
