We currently support max connection duration for downstream connections, but not yet for upstream connections. Allowing upstream connections to have a max duration provides users a guarantee that after a certain amount of time, connections will be cycled. This allows for service discovery through Kubernetes Service IPs, for example, to work more reliably.
