Is there a style-guide for emoncms?

I've been having issues with the varigated indentation in emoncms, and I have made some attempts in a fork to make the indentation at least consistent.

I'd like to pull-request the whitespace changes, but I need to know what style is preferred.
In #130, @elyobelyob pointed out the PSR-2 standards, which look pretty decent to me.

I would strongly prefer 4-space indentation over 2 space indentation for readability (tabs are best, but I can fix that issue with a git filter), but I'll defer to a consensus. As it is, there is a mixture of 2, 3, and 4 space indentation currently in the project.
