🐞 Bug report: Validation error  #17762

@Jelena1

Description

@Jelena1

Prerequisites

  • I have searched for similar issues in both open and closed tickets and cannot find a duplicate.
  • The issue still exists against the latest stable version of Elementor.

Description

Elementor creates validation errors in HTML an it was not the issue before. I opened topic in support about this:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/validation-errors-54/#post-15345022
and they said it is most likely a bug and to open bug report here.

This is description of problem:

Hi, I have the problem with Elementor plugin validation errors. The problem is that style tag appears inside body everywhere. The requirement for Themeforest themes is to not have any validator error so I am not sure how to continue using your plugin for themes.

Edit: problem appears from version 3.5.0 – something like this appears and is not validated: <style>/*! elementor – v3.5.5 – 03-02-2022 */
If I switch to old versions it does not appear.

Steps to reproduce

Use any element for example text editor (specifically if you add styling) and check validation https://validator.w3.org/

Isolating the problem

  • This bug happens with only Elementor plugin active (and Elementor Pro).
  • This bug happens with a Blank WordPress theme active (Hello theme).
  • I can reproduce this bug consistently using the steps above.
