Currently it is not possible to configure a CA certificate or truststore that is used when connecting to an etcd server behind TLS/https. This means if I use a certificate that is signed by a non-public CA I am not able to connect to the etcd server.

Using the ETCD Metricbeat module this is possible already. I believe the integration works similar, so something along the lines of #4666 could work?
