I'm using an EuiSuperSelect which presents the user with placeholder text by default. A piece of feedback from a demo was that the light text makes the form control appear as though it is disabled. I am also concerned the color contrast between the text and background maybe too low, but I don't have a metric on that right now.

The color of text in the "Text field" input looks more appropriate.
