The default date format is strict_date_optional_time and requires exactly 4-digit years because it is used for dynamic date detection and we do not want random strings to be detected as a date by mistake.

However it is perfectly fine to have larger years obviously, in which case date_optional_time should be used and dynamic date detection should probably be disabled.
