Kerberos authentication in the Kafka output is still beta, largely because we know it is failing in some (especially Active Directory) environments, but troubleshooting has been stalled because we don't have an internal testing environment to reproduce it. We need to add testing environments that let us consistently reproduce / diagnose these issues so we can move towards making the feature fully supported.
This is a pruned-down followup of the former meta-issue #23112, since we've added testing for other supported authentication mechanisms; only Kerberos is still giving us trouble.
Closes #5413
