Simulators included in govmomi are pretty handy for testing, they implement ESX/VPX APIs, populated with several objects by default, so Metricbeat can be configured to query this data.

The problem is that several of the stats requested by Metricbeat are set to zero in the simulator model, limiting the testing possibilities.

Describe a specific use case for the enhancement or feature:

Try to configure the simulator model so it returns more real-world values for stats and configuration of virtual machines. If it cannot be configured for that, consider adding this feature to govmomi.
