This repository is a fork of hikmah-academic-quarto, customized to demonstrate a real example based on our Nature paper preprint.

It serves as a clean, reproducible template for preparing academic manuscripts using Quarto.

Compared with the original template, the following updates and improvements were made:

• 📁 Reorganized folder structure so multiple manuscripts can share the same settings and styling
• ✨ Centered subtitle for a more balanced title page layout
• 📅 Added date-format option for flexible date display customization
• 📧 Improved corresponding author formatting: each email now appears on a separate line for readability
• 🏷️ Quoted ZIP codes: ensures ZIP codes beginning with 0 are displayed correctly

You can further tweak the LaTeX templates under:

/_extensions/andrewheiss/hikmah-manuscript/partials/

Specifically, adjust before-body.tex and title.tex to meet your formatting needs.

2. Install Quarto.
3. Clone or fork this repository.
4. Modify the .qmd manuscript file and fold as needed.
5. Render the document using: quarto render
