Can #29960 be re-opened. there were some good suggestions in there that have not been considered before the issue was locked

Add values to the JsonUnknownTypeHandling enum (which is set on JsonSerializerOptions to make this easier such as:
JsonUnknownTypeHandling.AutoPrimitivesThenJsonElement
