Please enable Windows Desktop for Windows Arm64 for .NET 6.0. This includes both the Windows Desktop installer and inclusion in the SDK.

As stated, we did not include this component for the 5.0 release. We hope to change that in servicing. This POR is unchanged.

We should enable Windows Desktop on Arm64 for 6.0 so that folks have a way of using/testing this configuration in the immediate term. The assumption is that the lack of Windows Desktop support on Arm64 will be solved before 6.0 RTM. Absent doing this, people can only test with x86/x64 emulation on Arm64 in the immediate term. That seems like an unnecessary limitation. An assumption is that 6.0 builds will be stable enough for testing. I believe this to be a sound assumption.

The intended flow is that people target 5.0 and test with 6.0 and then officially support 5.0 when/if we ship Windows Desktop Arm64 support for 5.0. That's a bit convoluted but avoids us doing anything unnatural or seeming to make a commitment to 5.0 + Windows desktop on Arm64 before we're ready.
