Looks good, but I'd like to test it myself and also to check that the statfs structure doesn't need modifying. (I haven't looked yet to see whether Travis has support for M1 Macs yet either; I might have to look into CI for the new platform.) |

In this issue I found that python running on OSX arm64 doesn't work with
$INODE64suffix.This PR adds a try/catch block copied from here to try with and without this sufffix.
